Our Staff

Michelle Kennedy ICMG, CMCG, CCE - School Owner/Director/Instructor. Michelle has been in the pet styling field since 1984. Since that time several of the stylists she trained have opened their own successful businesses. Michelle sincerely enjoys knowing she has had a hand in helping people achieve their goals and dreams and that the pets in their care are happy and beautiful. She has developed salons, salon operations and systems and has held seminars on cat grooming.. Michelle is an International Certified Master Groomer, Certified Master Cat Groomer, Certified Canine Esthetician and is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. She has taught obedience and handling classes and has successfully competed in the conformation ring. Michelle lives with her family and Australian Shepherd, Miniature American Shepherd, Swedish Vallhund, mini goldendoodle and Havanese in Clifton Park. 

Sandra Porter-Gonyea, CMFG, CCE - School Director/Instructor (Victor). Sandy has almost five decades in the pet grooming industry. Her lifelong passion for grooming has provided her with experiences as a multiple salon owner, corporate manager, grooming instructor, boarding/show kennel operator, dog training instructor and mobile pet grooming business owner. She has taught online business seminars and in-person workshops focused on cat grooming and business. Sandra is a Certified Pet Tech CPR & First Aid Instructor and holds workshops throughout NYS and surrounding areas. She feels some of her greatest accomplishments were having bred and handled some amazing Siberian Huskies and Shiba Inus from her Skrimshaw Kennels, obtaining her Certified Feline Master Groomer title, becoming a Certfied Canine Esthetician and taking her mobile business feline-exclusive. In her downtime, Sandra enjoys spending time in nature, enjoying her family and pets and making art.

Jenny Deyoe - Instructor (Clifton Park). Jenny joined the staff of Pink Dog Parlor in April of 2008.  She is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. As a life-long horse enthusiast, it was a natural move to a career involving pets.   She currently owns two poodles, a Springer spaniel, a rough Collie and a small mixed breed she enjoys coloring. 

Amanda Kriss - School Director/Instructor (Clifton Park). Amanda grew up in the pet industry.  Her mother, the school owner, began grooming when Amanda was just a year old.  She graduated from Marist College with a BA in Communications.  After working in radio and retail, she joined the staff at Pink Dog Parlor & Resort in 2009.  Amanda is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid and is currently studying to become a Master Pet Aesthetician.  She owns a Cairn Terriers, which she handstrips.
