Professional Dog Styling

Full Time (300 hours) 8 weeks | Part time (300 hours) 20 weeks

This program is divided into 3 courses:

Prepping 101 will cover the basics of anatomy, safety (pet, groomer and salon), diseases, prep work (nail clipping, ear plucking, clipping pads and sanitary) and proper handling of dogs.

Bathing & Drying 102 will cover the treatment of the 15 coat types with a concentration on the different needs of the short, medium and long coat. Students will learn to choose the appropriate shampoo and conditioner for the different coat types, drying techniques and tools and proper ear care. We will also cover skin issues, dealing with pests and wet clips.

Finishing 103 will cover preparing the coat for finishing using line brushing, combing and deshedding techniques. Students will learn to groom natural breeds, all-over cuts, the Teddy design, poodle designs, terrier designs and sporting breed designs. This course will teach students to use their books to correctly groom breeds on their own.

Registration Fee:           $   100.00 (non-refundable) 

Tuition Fee:                   $ 7000.00  

Tools/Books Fee:             $1232.00 (right handed) $1321.00 (left handed) + tax

The registration fee is due at the time of enrollment. One-half the tuition and the tools fee are due by the first day of class. The balance of the tuition is due after 2 weeks for the full-time class and after 10 weeks for the part-time class.
